Flexible Rental by Pallet Position
Rent storage by pallet position, by month or fraction of a month. You pay only for what you actually occupy — built for operations with seasonal peaks and valleys.
- Billing model
- Per pallet position
What it includes
- Rental by pallet position
- Billed by month or fraction of a month
- You pay only for the space you occupy
- Designed for seasonal operations
- Operated in house with Chronos
Benefits
You pay occupancy, not empty floor
The billing unit is the pallet position actually occupied. When your inventory drops, your cost drops with it.
Absorbs your seasons
Built for operations with months of higher and lower market flow, where committing to a fixed footprint all year makes no sense.
By month or fraction
You do not need a full cycle to contract. Rental is calculated by month or fraction based on actual occupancy time.
Some operations do not behave the same way all year. Consumer goods peak around Mexico's Buen Fin and December; agribusiness follows the harvest cycle; brands entering the market ramp unpredictably in their first year. For all of them, leasing a fixed footprint for twelve months means paying for empty space through much of it.
At Hau Can Park you can rent space by pallet position, by month or fraction of a month. You pay only for what you occupy. The model is operated in house with Chronos.
Why the billing unit matters
The difference between renting square meters and renting positions is structural, not accounting detail:
| Rental by area | Rental by pallet position | |
|---|---|---|
| Billing unit | Contracted m² | Occupied positions |
| If your inventory drops | You pay the same | You pay less |
| Term | Long-term lease | By month or fraction |
| Who it suits | Stable year-round volume | Seasonal operations |
When cost follows occupancy, warehousing stops being a fixed expense and becomes a variable cost that moves with your own demand.
What a pallet position is
It is the slot assigned to hold one pallet within a racking system, identified by its level and location. It is the standard unit of modern warehousing because it describes real storage capacity rather than floor area: two warehouses with identical square footage can differ completely in available positions depending on clear height and racking configuration.
When this model fits
Flexible rental works well when:
- Your inventory has pronounced peaks and valleys across the year
- You are testing the Mexican market and do not want a long-term commitment
- You need temporary relief space after a large import or a promotion
- Your volume does not yet justify dedicated space
If instead your goods are not stored at all but simply reclassified and forwarded, what you need is the cross-docking platform. And if you have steady volume and want the full logistics package, review the 3PL/4PL service from 500 m².
Inventory visibility
Renting by occupancy requires knowing precisely what you have and where. WMS software rental lets you control your inventory according to the operations you run inside our warehouse — which matters twice as much when that number is also what determines your bill.
